Static Monsters Online Qualification Rules and Guidelines
General Submission Rules
All videos must be one continuous shot, there can be no breaks in the video, also implement must remain in shot between a completed lift and weighing of the implement. Any breaks in filming or editing then your video will be rejected and your lift will not count.
At the start of the video, you must state your name, date of birth, sex and class you are entering, if you are in a weight class then you must weigh yourself on camera to verify your class, you cannot change your weight class once your video has been submitted unless you resubmit a new video with the new weight class stated in your video. For example :- “My name is Joe Bloggs, date of birth 09th of May 1994, I’m competing in the men’s under 105kg class, this is my bodyweight now (camera pans to display on the weighing scales)
Once you have completed your introduction you must complete your lift. Once the lift is completed the camera MUST stay filming for the weighing of the implement (see log or deadlift rules on how to weigh your lift)
Videos will be judged according to the standards set in our rules (https://staticmonsters.com/2026-event-rules/) , any video that doesn’t meet these standards will be rejected, and you will have to resubmit using the resubmission link on the online qualifier page.
Both lifts MUST be filmed in the same session and date/time stamped in the properties on the video. Videos without this metadata will be rejected.
Log Lift Submission Rules
Once you have completed a successful lift the camera must keep the log in shot, while you carry out the weighing of the equipment.
There are two ways you can verify the weight of your lift.
1. You can weigh the log as a whole with the weight plates and collars still on the log, and you must show the display of your scales on camera without any breaks in filming or
2. You can weight the plates individually on camera (this needs to be shown on both ends so we can verify total), then the log must be weighed empty, also shown on camera, if your log is metal and has a manufactures weight stamp on it then you can show this on camera instead of weighing log, (painted or sprayed weights will not be accepted, it must be a weight stamp, see examples below)

When filming the lift you must insure that your full body and equipment are fully in frame, and that we can see a full lock out of the arms with log in shot, and that your feet are parallel and also in shot, if any of these are not visible on the video, your submission will be rejected.
If you are filming yourself on a tripod then you must insure that the log stays in shot throughout the lift and weighing of the log and plates, if there are any cuts in the filming or editing the video will be rejected.
At end of the video state the total weight lifted.
